It's easy to assume all mouth tape ships the same way — order online, box arrives, done. But where a product is actually made and shipped from has real, practical consequences that are worth knowing before you order, especially for something you'll want to reorder regularly if it works for you.
Shipping time adds up more than people expect. A product shipped internationally — commonly from the US to Europe, since several well-known mouth tape brands are US-based — typically takes meaningfully longer to arrive than one shipped from within the EU. If you're trying mouth tape for the first time and eager to see if it helps, an extra week or two of waiting is a real, if minor, frustration.
Customs and import costs are a genuine, often-overlooked factor. Orders shipped from outside the EU can sometimes be subject to import duties or customs handling fees, depending on order value and current regulations — an extra cost that doesn't show up on the product price itself, and can be a genuinely unpleasant surprise at the door.
Reordering convenience matters for anything you'll use nightly. If a product genuinely works for you, you'll want to reorder it easily and predictably. A shorter, more local supply chain generally means more consistent delivery timing for repeat orders.
Support and returns are simpler within the same region. If you ever need to reach out about an order, having a company operating in the same broad region (and often the same working hours and language expectations) tends to make that simpler than dealing with a company on a different continent.
None of this means a non-EU brand is automatically the wrong choice — plenty of people order internationally without issue. But it's a genuinely relevant factor worth actually considering, not just an afterthought, especially for a product you might end up ordering repeatedly.
